so im pretty good with hondas but i have never run into a problem like this

its a 1995 civic dx from canada
but the dam cars not starting

its getting fuel cause the fuel pumps buzzing when i turn the ignition.

its turning over but not firing

the dizzy is a newer remanufactured one. not sure if it works but you think it would.

ALSO none of the dash lights are turning on when the key is turned to the on position except for the battey light were usually the check engine light and oil light would turn on till the car is running??

this is weird to me any help would be awesome

Is 10A dash fuse 15 blown? Do you have spark at the plugs?

 

fuses are good and no not getting spark

 

i was thinking maybe the ecu?

 

You need to check whether both top test tabs of installed fuse 15 have battery voltage to body ground. There's a good chance that it is blown.

Also test whether the Blk/Yel wire attached to the coil and igniter unit has battery voltage to body ground with the key in ON(II). If so, test the coil and igniter unit.

 

do you have voltage(12v) between the blk/yel wire (on the dizz plug)and body ground with ignition switch on?

i did both test today still nothing but randomly the cel and oil lights came on the on position

also all fuses are good.

 

Check Your Ignition Key Cylinder. It Could Have Went Bad.

update..


when im turning it over it acts like it wants to start. but right when it would usually fire up it either half starts or completly stops.


any other idea's guys?
