Hi guys, I just made myself owner of a 99 EM1, im trying to check a cel following the procedure in the faq but as hard as I search around the ecu there's no jumper cable or anything remotely similar, my civic is a canadian version, is there a chance this plug is anywhere else?

Did you remove the kick panel covering the ECU? The service connector is usually inserted into a green or blue rubber holder. Click on the CEL sticky.

 

There's a green connector attached in top of the ecu, are you talking about that one? i'll take a couple pics so you can guide me better..

 

The CEL sticky has a picture of the rubber holder.

 

Ron thanks for taking your time, look I took some pics to show you what I see, If you look closely there's no 2 wire jumper, unless it's hidden somewhere else?

 

That's interesting. Are there any wires going behind the ECU? It is typically located above the ECU, maybe it got pushed up into the dash. Here's a pic of mine.



The lighting is crap, but the wires are coming out of the main bundle that plug into the ECU
