Default Intercooler Core For a Radiator?

Just been thinking to myself, has anyone tried using a Ebay Intercooler Core cut the ends off and used it for a radiator?
Only asking as i need to make a very large radiator for my twin engine project ie 1 rad cools both engines.
Or do we think the fin's are to thick an will not cool the water right?
(plus finding it hard to find a aluminum core manufacturer/supplier in the UK)

All comments welcome

Radiators are designed much differently inside than an intercooler. They use smaller thin tubes and a lot of them for more surface area. Why cant you just buy a cheap ebay radiator for a Civic or something?

Yes i agree i could use a aluminum rad and cut that up BUT i would need 2 to get the surface area i am after for cool both the engines, the reason why i asked about intercoolers as they are very large already.
I did think intercooler internals where differant BUT wanted to double check before rushing in a buying items.

It's not the fins that are the problem, it's the tubes. Ideally you want small tubes and more fin so you have more fin to tube contact.

wide tubes results in less fin / tube if that makes sense.

Intercooler tubes are typically 6-10mm high, radiator tubes are typically 2-3mm high.
