Do you have rolled fenders?
Do you have a camber kit?

"ET" is a reference to offset. ET 36 would be +36mm.

PS. Those XXR's aren't really going to look the same as a higher offset 15x8. I'm guessing it's a 949 Racing wheel, because they come in 15x8 +36.

ok thats what i thought

in that case thats not a huge lip but 8" is a wide wheel and no matter what it will stick out a little bit, it wont look as bad as the xxr's in that picture then but still a wide wheel

like he said: Do you have rolled fenders?
Do you have a camber kit?

With rolled fenders and a camber kit, you'll have no problems at all fitting the 15x8's safely. You may need a degree of camber, but that's not going to cause issues until you reach 3 degrees of camber as long as your toe is 0.

that seems like alot of wrk to fit 15x8. they do offer 15x7 and a 15x7.5. would it be wiser just to get the 15x7 then? i like how my ride is and dont want to ruin it by increasing the camber

Well, increasing your camber by 0-3 degrees will not change your ride quality at all. You'll notice the camber in the corners, if you're in to track racing. But, during daily driving, you won't see a difference at all. I've got my track car set at -3.8/-1.8 right now, and the ride quality is the same as it was at zero degrees of camber. I wouldn't expect you to need much more then 1 degree of camber on your car, to clear the tires properly. The 15x7's wouldn't need any camber though, to answer your question.
