screeching noise from the front brake rotor?
I sometimes get this screeching noise coming from the front brakes. As soon as i start putting pressure in the brake pedal it stops, but when i let off there it is again. It goes away after a couple of minutes. I hav never done brakes on this car and its at 120k. is it just like a wear sensor?
There is a wear indicator tab on the brake pads. Basically it's a metal tab that makes contact with the rotor and will cause a screeching sound.
Pull the tires off and feel the rotor or even just look at it, if there are any deep grooves you need to replace them. Unless if they are nice/expensive rotors its usually better to just buy new ones. If you catch it early there will be minimal damage and you will only need pads.
