10" eclipse titanium sub VS. 10 JL Audio W7~?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
any reviews/opinions?
this will be going into a small sealed box. only 1 sub in the back of my
2000 2 door gsr. debating which sub to get.
if i get the JL sub i'll prolly get the JL 500watt rms monoblock amp.
if i get the eclipse titanium i'll probably get the PPI 1000watt monoblock amp..
i think it's called the PCX 1500 or something.
pleeease .. i need opinions

I'd do the JL w7 if I were you. The SQ will second to none.
As for the specs on a box for the Eclipse, check their website for that info.

IMO the w7 will beat the Eclipse Titanium hands down in most departments. The Eclipse Titanium is more of an SQ sub (Can be kinda harsh). If you want all SQ then go for the Eclipse Titanium. If you want to get loud and have still some good SQ then I say go for the w7. I am not a real fan of JL Audio though. In the end it is all up to you.

they don't have any specs to make a box for it.
i downloaded this box building software but i don't know how to use it LOL
thanks for the input guys...
anyone else?
i really like the ecplise speakers, but i heard that the W7 are really nice as well, although i haven heard the W7 i am sure they are just as good if not better than the Eclipse

Not sure on the w7's as they are not like any other sub as far as surround goes. I think that it is like 2 1/2" maybe. I am just guessing on that one. I think that you need to go after the w7 if you want the best. The w7 is gonna kill the Eclipse Titanium as far as loudness and things go. SQ is good too. The Eclipse's tend to be a little bright and harsh. If you have the money then get you either a Adire Audio Brahma, w7 or Eclipse if you want just to name a few. Up to you
xmax on a 12W7 is 29 mm (~1.15") You should be able to find all of that info on JL's website.... http://www.jlaudio.com

go to the download section, and download the manuals. They are in PDF format. The second page of each shows all the T/S parameters

I have three JL Audio 10W0 subs in my trunk being pushed by a Rockford 500a2, you can see that in my signature, but anyway, they handle that extra power VERY WELL, they also have amazing sound quality for the little price they go for. I have listened to a 12W7 and all i have to say, i hope you have ear muffs because its one hell of a sub man. I heard it in a shop and it totally shook the whole friggin room, the sub bass is ridiculous. A 10W7 will be amazing as well, considering its 500wRMS it will better suite the nature of your Integra considering the Teg is a hatchback and is small in area. I dont know the music you listen to, but i listen to everything and with my subs they sound amazing with everything, i mean its all i need, and they are only 375wRMS combined. Imagine the clarity and capability of a 10W7, its unparalled in SQ and bass capabilites in its price class if you compare all 10" subs. That 10W7 will bump especially well if you power it with the JL Audio 500/1 amp. Its pure RMS at any Ohm, you will love it! I mean all these statements i am making is based on subs i have heard and my taste in music, i want my lows to be low and my response to be precise and thats what JL subs give you.
Go for the 10W7!! I promise and guarantee that you will not be dissapointed! JL AUDIO ALL THE WAY!!!

my cousin works at good guys so i get a good deal on JL...
and http://www.woofersetc.com makes a well made pre made box
for the W7's...thing is, he lives up in reno nevada so he's
gonna ship it to me, and the good guys i visited and all
the shops i visited didn't have W7's that i could listen to.
so this advice was the best i've gotten.
i agree with you...the 10W7 should be more than enough for my car.
my friend had a 15inch crossfire DB sub (which has alot less excursion)
which only had 400watts rms. he ran it with some amp that was at 400
watts rms @ 1 ohm. that sh*t rocked his civic coupe...which is the same
platform and almost the same car size wise as my integ..almost too much
bass..which is good.
i'm gonna go with the 500/1 JL monoblock also. thank you all for the
input.
Thank you my main man. You are the boom diggity! Keep up the slick comments!
