coolant reservoir bubbling?
well i bought this 99 civic lx for 500
..very nice except that it was overheating a lot...so i took the thermostat and it was bad..water pump was bad and head was warped because of blown head gasket too..also i flushed the radiator and found chunks of stuff coming out at first but today i flushed it again and it was fine..anyhow i the head back together after being resurfaced and used new head bolts of course..i also checked the compression of the car to see if it was up to specs and 3 cylinders are at 185 psi except cylinder #2 which is at 160-165 ish...so as i drove it today i noticed the reservoir was bubbling like it wanted to overheat but it hasnt and it most likely wont but i asked a friend about the compression and he said the #2 cylinder might have a messed up piston ring scratching up the wall...would that cause the reservoir to bubble like that? or am i missing something else?
thanks in advance

Check the radiator cap. My girlfriend's Accord had a bubbling overflow tank but it wasn't overheating. Took the cap off to find that it had fallen apart so that when it was cooling down after it was turned off, it was sucking air. Maybe you'll get lucky like that.

yea the fan is turning on....and it was just as i thought...the gasket didnt seal right..so i took it apart again and use the gasket sealer this time and now it doesnt bubble as much as it used to...the only thing left i havent replaced was the radiator cap and radiator its self...so if it becomes a problem i know that the coils inside the radiator are clogged somehow or something...but regardless thanks guys for the help!
