z6 motor swap in a 2000 4dr, will it pass emissions?
Depends on the state, technically using an engine older than the car is illegal from a federal standpoint i'm told, that said a lot of states don't really look.

Passing the emission portions of smog is one thing, but passing the visual is a whole other thing. I had a y8 (96-00 EX motor) in my 95 EX years back and I passed emissions, but I didnt pass visual due to the emission restrictions of an OBD2 motor in an OBD1 car.
If the smog shop doesnt check the block stamp and all of your other smog equipment is in order (cat, no CEL's etc) then you could pass, but if they check...well you just wasted your $$
