Front or rear?

Any 96-00 front subframe will bolt right in.

^^front i think its the subframe...i mean the lca mount took a hit off a curb and from eyeball view underneath it looks like the radius angle frame that comes into the lca mount is bent more then the other side...???

That sucks. It's a pain to remove on the ground.

At least it's not as heavy as it looks.

What do you mean by body type?

It's a sedan. The chassis code is EJ8. It came stock with a D16Y8.

Generally speaking people think of a coupe as being a two door, a hatch as being a three door and a sedan as being a four door.

what does it take to remove the subframe??? do you have to pull the motor or just the steering rack and suspension parts....

It's cool.

I always figured people knew, but I've actually been asked the same question at my job. Nothing like asking, "Coupe or sedan?" and getting that confused look and then feeling like an ***.

http://importnut.net/rackswap.htm

That's a decent write-up.

Get a helms manual or something too.

I just bought mine today on ebay...it was 85 shipped.

I think you can actually use the 5th gen subframe too it's just not as beefy as the 6th gen...I may be wrong.

It's also called a front crossmember if you're searching for it that might broaden your search.

I'm replacing mine next week after my shipment comes in.

Since you'll have to pull the steering rack, and I think shift linkage and whatnot...go ahead and spend about 20 shipped on steering rack bushings and shifter bushings from energy suspension. Might as well take out some rack slop and shift slop while you're down there. This is also a good time to replace tie rod ends and ball joints as well. It'd be a shame to pull apart your suspension, replace the subframe...then have something else go out you had already taken off a month or so later.

As far as I know you can, but you'll need a 5th gen T-bracket and LCAs as well.

Yep...the one I ordered was for a 99 SI...there isn't any differences on those I think either.

I am fairly cetain, that all you need to use is the compliance bushing, and all of the hardware form the 5th gen.
Not the entire lower control arm. Although you are correct, I just thought I add that.
