Default Haggard Gas Mileage

Car's a 92 dx sedan. Up until a month ago the car was awesome on gas, now it seems like I could barely eek 140 out of a tank driving around town. Car was throwing code 1, 43, and the code for IAC valve. Replaced 02 sensor, have switched plugs out, and cleaned out the IAC valve. No code anymore, but still sloppy mileage. Also the car seems to heat up a lot quicker than my integra does. It seems like one minute into my commute and the temp gauge is already 1/3 of the way there. Any suggestions? I really don't want to put steelies on the teg and drive her in winter.

I drive like a puss so it's not driving habits. Just changed out fuel filter yesterday. Seems to run better but I've drove 40 miles and the damn needle has moved from 3/4 to half already, and this was highway driving. Any chance the float in the tank could be bad?

When was the last time you did a FULL tune up? I don't think just changing the fuel filter counts. Ron also asked about ignition timing.

grumble-full tune up done a couple months back when I got the car put back together. Cap and rotor was replaced then.

From what I'm starting to notice it may be something just mechanical related.

Bad injector? Valves need adjusted?

that's tonight. Also noticed some white smoke comming out the exhaust today. It does it upon startup-a decent amount I might add, but goes away after the car warms up. Checked the oil today and no milky residue.
