97 del sol si build thread.
Im bored so i figured i would start this thread for my del sol project, it isnt going to be as fast paced as others projects but im hoping to have it driving again by the time the snow melts. I got the car last summer from a kid in wisconsin. It came with a b16a2 had your average bolt-ons. I am in the process of building a b20vtec, shaving and tucking the bay. Again im a poor college student so this will be an ongoing project for the next few months.

I'm in the same boat!
College student building a del sol.
I can only afford so much at a time!!!!!!!
Check my garage for info on what I got so far.
Whatever you do just stick with it until it's done how you want it. I should really start a thread. I got a lot of work into my car but I'm not really doing much on it right now cuz its freezing cold out here in Wisconsin.
BUT, I am sending my b16 Jackson supercharger for rebuild tomorrow.
***eBay is where I got most of my stuff, even my S2000 seats!

Nice! I hear ya about the cold im from north dakota and dont have a heated garage, makes it hard to get motivated to work on it when its been in the negatives.
UPDATE*** picked up a b20b over the weekend, 12.5:1 cp's in the mail. hoping to have time to pull it a part and get it to the machine shop on friday afternoon.

A little bit of an update, I have everything I need to get my motor together besides bearings so ill be starting that soon, and the weather finally warmed up enough to start working on the wire tuck. After that is all done ill be bringing it to school to shave and paint the bay.

still trying to figure out what I want to do for fuel filter and charcoal canister. Could you just bypass the canister and run it straight to a vacuum port on the manifold?

you can simply tear the canister out... block off the where it connects to the motor... then put a small filter on the hose that goes the the gas tank for the gas vapor's... you will lose mpg however... as far as the filter goes look up a sponser on here called B&M Fittings... he has a kit that you can run an fittings from the bottom line of the filter into a an fitting filter and then to the rail... I have this kit from him and it's top notch...

some do some dont... if you want just trace that tube all the way back to the gas tank cut it off about 6 inches away from the tank and put the filter on there... then just rip out that extra tube... weight savings... lol
