ive cleaned the iavc or whatever from the DIY

my car warms up at around 2500 rpms.
when it idles it wavers from 1100-1400 rpms.

anyone know how to get it a lower?

 

you put a B18b in a DA those come stock B18a u need to switch around some things

 

what would i switch around?

what could cause something like this?

 

a little vacuum leak could cause it, try adjusting your idle screw

 

So your saying It idles high on cold start, and after warming up it kicks the RPM into variating idle correct?

 

yea it starts at 2500, goes up to 2800 or so
then it ranges (goes up and down) from 1500-2800, and as it warms up it slowly mellows out

when its warmed up and idleing, it ranges from 1200-1500.

the idle screw is screwed in tight... not to sure how to adjust, the flat head i used wouldnt budge it and it kind of ruined the screw.

Whats the FITV? im curious as i have this exact same problem.

 

Fast Idle Thermal Valve. its under the throttle body. has 3 10mm bolts and 2 small coolant hoses coming out of it.
