K so im in the process of building my crx. I also own a evolution 8 and all wheel drive is awesome. No wheel spin just pure sex when launching. This got me thinking is it possible or been done before? Im running a b18b1 and wondered if the b20 out of a crv trans, trans case, rear suspension and axles would work or if something could be fabbed up to make a crx with a b18 awd. I have seen rwd crxs and civics but never an awd.

That's pretty awesome but how about a b18 in something that's been made awd? That's what motor im building is a b18. Wouldn all of the crv trans stuff work in exception of getting custom driveshaft and axles made to length I would need?

 

I think you can use the ef wagon AWD setup on your rex

Its been done. Do a search. "Matt" (forget user name) did it on his CRX (awd turbo) also had a Wagovan that had a GSR swap and CRV rear end (Bseries AWD. Now I forget what he is building, but it sounds like its another AWD Turbo wagon.

I haven't found much info on the subject. The closest I could find is a crx that was made rwd by placing the engine in the rear. The guy took a civic subframe and welded it in the rear after mocking up all the suspension and ran the shift linkkage backwards. I've seen some vids with awd hatches but no info on how it was done.

Honda tuning has a issue where a guy went awd using a wagovan drive train, its getting common, have fun though if you take on the task, $$$ and cutting the floorboard.

 

if your serious about it, i have a entire awd conversion from a 88 awd wagon sitting in my garage. was planning on puuting it into a friends wagon but that project changed direction.
