Default 95 civic b16 turbo help!

I'm hijacking my boyfriends account in hope that I can find some better answers then what my research has dug up.

I have a 95 ex civic with a jdmb16 swap and 50 a/r turbo at 8lbs. I seem to be having a problem with the fuel/injectors. I currently have 460cc rx7 (red top) injectors, not so much the the car runs horribly (cuz it really doesn't) but it breaks up on occasion and its running very rich. We have tried to turn the fuel both up and down, but it doesn't seem to help in either direction. I have a dyno tuned chip currently installed that was tuned for a sohc motor with the same set up as me. The chip is tuned for 450cc injectors - and for the life of me I can't find 450cc injectors that DON't require a resistor box (my bf seems to have a hatred towards resistors boxes). Is it that big of a difference b/t 460cc and 450cc that is throwing my car off? Also ever since all this crappy cold weather hit, the idle on my car is staying right above 0. When I start it in the morning I have to keep my foot on the gas for a lil bit or it will die. It never did that in the summer time.

Tuned on a chip? Dyno tuned? Is the ECU chipped and tuned? What engine management are you running? CROME? Hondata? Are you running a basemap?

And what do you mean you turn the fuel up or down? How are you doing that? I hope you aren't running a BS FMU.

yea the ecu is chipped and dyno tuned - not sure if its crome or hondata, my b/f doesn't remember he says "i dunno its street tuned" but i kno the tune was done at performance shop. he managed the fuel by the fuel pressure regulator. I'm gonna sound stupid, but what does the bs stand for i've only learned so much from being around as the "guys" worked on their hondas lol unless its the obvious as in bull s ha ha i have a 255 walboro pump too

BS=crap. The fuel regulator isn't going to do anything. He probably needs to get it re-tuned. Sounds like the street tune wasn't all it was cracked up to be. My car runs differently depending on the weather. Better in cold (since it was originally tuned in the winter months) and okay in the summer.

Do you have a wideband installed to monitor AFRs?

even if 450 and 460cc injectors have similar flow rates, they have different voltage scales, so they will probably operate much differently depending on the voltage your alternator is putting out. wiring up a resistor box is quite easy to do- there are DIY's floating around the internet if you google it. there might be one here on H-T. i'd start with that and installing some 450cc injectors. tell your boyfriend to learn how to use a soldering iron and some common sense.

If you aren't running one I believe there is a guy selling plug and play kits in the Marketplace.

no wideband. im gonna start with the 450cc and the resister box. he knows how to wire it, but he knows a few ppl that had problems with them. I think they didn't do something right in their set up and thats why they had problems. Does anyone sell 450cc injectors that don't need a resistor box tho?

I've never heard of anyone having issues with a resistor box. Doesn't sound like your build is too reliable at the moment.
