Default car won't start

Car radio flickers on and off randomly as well as dimming of the clock on and off. This happened 2 months ago, stopped then came back. then this morning my car wouldn't start then I jumped it. it turned on slow and then and back to normal but the flickering started again. I turn off my car after 5 minutes of driving and then it wouldn't start up again. What could it be me? Wired my own power folding mirrors, radio and side markers a while back. 2 years ago, could it be a loose wire or open wire?

i'd get your battery and alternator tested before anything.. the dimming COULD be cuz of a weak battery which could be caused by it being a) junk or b) **** alternator.. then from there (now that you have the most easiest solutions out of the way) i would start messing with wiring..

are you battery terminals dirty/loose?

Have the alternator and battery tested at an auto parts store.

Thanks, im gonna try to test those first seeing that I do work for autozone. My battery terminals are clean and on tight. It being the battery and/or alternator wouldnt make sense that it happened 2 months ago then back this morning. It was working fine last night

The tests are easy, especially for you, so just do them. Also clean and tighten the battery ground wire attached to the chassis.
