Default intake/exhaust manifold studs in head..

hey i am reinstalling a head on a block.

seems that some of the studs have come loose.

i will use the double nut trick to re-tighten all of them.

but how tight do i make them?

i started tightening one, and it just seems to keep going and going into the head.

do they bottom out or how do you know how far in to tighten them?

thanks a lot HT.

look at the middle part of the stud .. its angled on both sides then its flat in-between .. u tighten it once the closest angle on the stud goes into the hole and its jes the flat part that shows .. i jes did this not too long ago .. didnt feel like taking the gasket off while the studs were in the head so i took all the studs out, which made it easier .. hope that made sense!

Just don't go too deep. Done that before.

Measure the length of the others for a reference.
