Can I fit 15s in a 4th gen trunk
Hey guys my friend is selling his old subs and amp cuz he only wants 1 for his new car. I have 2 infinity 1220's and i'm selling him one and probably selling the other as well because it would end up costing me like $350 or so for amp, box, installation and all that for just 1 sub. But I could probabaly buy the subs off of my friend for like $200- whatever I want for the sub. I've heard his setup and it was freakin awesome and I know it wasn't beaten on but the box the subs are in is huuuuuuge. I don't have the dimensions tonight but hes gonna measure and give them to me tomorrow and i'll post them but has anyone fit 2 15''s in the trunk or is there any way i can get this box in there? Sorry for the long post but I need the help cuz I want these bad. Thanks guys
well i had a perfectly built box for the 4th gen trunk, but it only was for 1 15, i dont think you could fit 2 and have proper airspace for the speaker...i'd give you dimisions, but it was stolen along w/an amp that was my best friend's who is no longer w/us...damn i hate ******* thieves
what kind of speakers are they?
what kind of speakers are they?
They are soundstream rubicons, low end I know but so very very loud, I'm not too worried about the tightness or anything cuz i loved how they sounded in my friends swift(btw don't ever buy one). they require very little power to run and he had gotten 1 ticket for some sound ordanance with them and they weren't even half way. I'd love to buy them cuz he'll give me a deal but i gotta figure out how to fit them and if i had to get a custom box built then it'd cost just as much as putting in my 2 infinitys. I dunno maybe i'm destined not to get subs.
just put one in and sell the other, or hook it up in your house...till you blow the one in your car...i loved the 15's deep *** bass
yeah but then i'd have to buy a new box and that would up costs again. I just wanna see like what the bigest box people have gotten in their ludes are so I know if its even possible. I'll have the dimensions tonight and post them.

dam... seems like all the ludes with nice systems get jacked....mine too.... i had 3 JL w06s in my trunk, no room what so ever...maybe a slice on the sides where the tire jack goes....ya..go talk to a stero shop...but its gonna get jacked again praobly...jus make shure u dynamat the entire car....i broke my back windsheild many times
yes with a custom box u can, but imo i wouldnt do it, one the weight reason, 2 the space and three the rattling. I had 2 12in jl w3's in there then went down to 2 10 in jl w 3's. and now i am back to one 12 w6 knocks hard as hell with a custom box and alpine v12 amp.
I don't know anything about Infinity subs, but it will depend on the airspace needed for those subs..On average, a 15 needs about 3 cubic ft per sub..That being said, I wouldn't do it. You'll lose all your trunk space and would most likely need a fiberglass enclosure using the spare tire well. It would probably raise the floor of the trunk about 2 - 3 inches. I really don't think its worth it. I myself have 2 kicker solobaric 12's. Got the solo's just for that reason. I knew space was limited but I wanted 2 12's that could handle high watts
