My 4door civic is a 99 lx and dosent open on either sides on the driver side rear when it's locked and unlocked.. What could it be the handle or the lock inside the door..what do I do? Take off the plastic? Thanks

 

id say take the door panel and take a look at it but it needs to open for that, good luck with it.

 

An lx has power door locks so does the button on the inside of the door pop-up when you unlock it? If so, then a clip broke and a rod fell off on the inside of the door. Probably just need a new clip. If the door lock **** on top of inside door doesn't pop-up when unlocked you have an actuator problem. Either way you'll have to remove the inner door panel. Use a couple of flat blade screwdrivers, start at the bottom and go slow. Good luck

 

Yes the button on the inside of the broken door still responds when I unlock/ lock it with the main controller by the drivers seat. To me it looks as if the door handles aren't catching, because they move freely as if the child lock is on from both sides.. any more advice? thanks for your feedback
