need help with rad support

Default need help with rad support

im in the process of my first true street build and i cut out the rad support lower half to open it up. i tried to go off some pics that i seen on here but after i cut it the top of the support just collapsed. i put in the 2 pieces of metal for the time but was just wandering what you guys were doing to support the top part. thanks

If it just collapsed the car must be a bit twisted or something. I usually use the intercooler as the support. Mounts the intercooler and braces the core support. 2 for 1!

well it collapsed cause i sorta leaned on it! but i def never thought to use the intercooler as the support. thanks man. that actually sounds like a really good idea.

I used my radiator too support it.

I was thinking of cutting out my lower support out also, my main concern was where to mount the bumper and support the bottom of the intercooler, thinking I could weld 1X1 square tube across it, somewhat like the traction bar but on the front side with tabs for the intercooler and bumper. if I finnidh this before you find a solution I will post pics.
