How can I prevent my tires from rubbing?
i just recently traded someone a set of gsr blades for 16 inch black slips with the tire size of 205/50/16. my car is lowered two inches what can i do to keep them from scrubbing when i turn or drive over small bumps?

tires are way too big for your car. Get different tires, or raise the car up.
And this should have been its own thread. No need to thread jack.

Either 205/40-16 or 205/45-16... the first is slightly smaller and the second is slightly larger than stock tire diameter. 205/40 will ride more harsh than 205/45's.

depends on how low your car is. I've always run 205/45-16 on my Integra and never had a problem, but then again the Integra came with slightly larger tires than your EG did.

205/40-16 is about 1/4" smaller than stock, while 205/45-16 is about 1/2" larger than stock, so yeah 205/40 would probably be better. Just watch out for big bumps and such. 205/40 tires do not offer much sidewall protection of the rim at all.
