My buddy needs to do his 98 civic radio install. I tried searching but cannot fin the wiring diagram or install info. Any help?

 

Did you check the FAQs? Get a wiring harness and match the color of the wires. Except for the yellow one and red one (constant and switched power). They are reversed.

make your life super duper easy. get a little harness from best buy for like 20 bucks. color matching after that point. and it'll be plug and play.

thats what he did, still not all the wires color match

 

so the red go the yellow and yellow goes to red?

true. and mines a 95. i think i had two that were left over i had to guess with.

 

There are a couple not used. This really isn't that hard.

 

Try this;
Red/grn rf speaker+
Brn/blk rf speaker-
Blu lf speaker+
Gry/blk lf speaker-
Red/yel rr speaker+
Brn/wht rr speaker-
Blu/yel lr speaker+
Gry/wht lr speaker-
Yel/red hot with ignition on
Blk ground
Red hot with ignition or lights on
Red/blk hot with ignition or lights on
Wht/blu hot all the time (battery)
