h23 turbo build question??
Check out the sticky FAQ page and read all the good info there pertaining to forced induction. It is probably a good idea to either have a budget or horsepower goal in mind to help guide the discussion. How many miles are on the H23 you have and what is the overall condition of the motor; leakdown + compression numbers?
Money I wanna go as cheap as I can. That why I wanna kinda piece it together like from a junkyard or something.. So I was more needing setups... Ya know?.. Hp goal... +/- 300 would be amazing, I believe the h23 only has 160hp more or less. So that be nice.
I have heard of people using the older gen eclipse turbo setups. You just have to drill a couple new holes in the manifold. Be careful how cheap you go. Sometimes it pays off to pay. Just my two cents
go on ebay can find kit for like 400 bucks or so or find a buddy that wants to sell a turbo kit. but may i remind you that going cheap with a kit is not a good idea ive been there dne that. save up and buy good stuff and rebuilt the motor and maybe throw some mahle pistons and eagle rods in it to be on safe side and you can run about 15 psi on them or so. theres alot of horsepower lost between a good turbo and a ebay turbo
you will have more life out of the engine if you do it right and not go cheap on it and make sure you have it tuned if not you will blow it up then you will be buying a engine

I jus dnt want anything to crazy.. But if it's honestly worth it.. I guess I will I jus need a list of everything I need to buy so I can get it piece by piece and then do it when I'm done.
well man depends on what kind of power you looking for and how much you wanna spend. if you wanna go big sleeving the block is a must or mahle sells a set of pistons for the h22 that requires no sleeving of the block. let me know what kind of numbers you looking for and ill give you some good ideas for some stuff for it.and if you wondering i also have a h22 but its fully built and hopefull be pushing about 700hp but i have alot of money in this beast and still spending it lol
to h22 accord 101. right now or in the next year im looking just for around 300. jus to make my daily driving more fun, ya know.. but i need to keep it reliable thats why i cant boost too much.. its my only car, 92 lude. i jus need like a set up so i know what to start buying with spare cash. but in a few years i plan to buy a secondary h23 with a new tranny lsd. and fully rebuilding internalls etc. larger turbo kit and upgrading clutch from stage 1-3 lighter flywheel etc and boosting 20+ psi. and once im done maybe two years later fully swaping them over. and while i do this first small turbo kit through the next year, im trying to restore and replace my suspension and bushings to handle the turbo..
yea well if this just gonna be something small a ebay keep or peice it toigeather. you will need basic turbo kit intercooler bout 450 injectors and a walboro and then a tuning settup like hondata ectune or krome a cheap buy good chipping kit for tuning also
Where's a good place to buy engines from.. Still wanna do a little turbo setup. But i dnt think my engine will be able to handle the turbo.. Specially w/ 255,000 miles on it
deff would eaither rebuild it or get a new motor with low miles for sure and if trans shiftes good with no grinds or nothing i would just do afluid change and run some good trans fluid with some lucas and should be fine
if you have the know how and it was me i would rebuild my motor new rings bearings oil pump water pump oem headgasket and atleast get you a set of arp headstuds they help out alot ect stuff better to have a real fresh motor then 2 buy one and not know if its been threw hell. but then again like i say while you in there might as well throw some mahle pistons[which require no sleeveing] and eagle rods can get both for less than 700 and that motor be alot safer. thats my opinion best to be safe than sorry. i just know alot of people that have boosted a stock h series and they didnt last long at all just trying to help you out and save you cash in the long run.
