oil pressure light flashing!
so i was scootin along one day. and my oil pressure lights starts to flash. then stops for awhile. then does it again. now it does it all the time. so i replace the sensor thinking that would help. Nope still does it. is it just a problem with the wiring or something more serious?
Probably standing on the side of the road beside it right now.
Actually I know guys, myself included that had D-series engines that burned enough oil that you'd get to a point where the oil light would come on going around turns, stop, add more oil keep driving, never spun any bearings either. Not that i'd recommend it. In my case I was running a D15B7 that was burning 3 - 4L a day so I really didn't care if it blew up.

this is your best bet. if your oil light is flashing it means your oil pressure sending unit isnt seeing AT LEAST 4 pounds of pressure which is BAD. basically your top end is running dry and your valvetrain hates you. check your oil first, then pull your valve cover and see how bad it is under there, if its still good id replace your oil pump AND your pickup screen
Take out the oil pressure sensor and use an oil pressure gauge to check your oil pressure so you know for sure but it does sound like an oil pump failing or a clogged pick-up screen.
Ya true his whole engine probly hates him and yes under 4 psi is really bad but for some reason that's when the sending unit flips the light on lol but ya check your pressure just to be sure. Give me the year make and model and I'll get you a price, I work at advance auto so I'll jus check for you at work tonight

kids in africa probably hate him as well for wasting oil.
if your pickup screen is clogged that probably means your bearings are in there and not where they supposed to be( on the crank and rods)
heres how it goes.
your engine get low on oil or overheats> your bearings wear off and **** out all that shiny surface into the crankcase/oil pan> they get stuck in the puckup screen and clog it eventually> your oil pump gets some of that bearing dust and ***** out its gears. and so on.

check the pressure with a gauge just so you know for sure what it has. on a different car i had the oil light was alwas flickering it pissed me off. I check the pressure and it was fine. Found out that the connection was bad causing it to flicker. Check the pressure before you drive it anymore
