Hey guys im new here club civic wasnt much help my bro has a jdm b16a first gen obdo in he's 89 rex.he said I can have the whole car for 1100. That ecu tranny moints harness everything to do the swap.. what would I need to make it go into my 92 civic hb vx? My d15z1 is shot. How much more would I habe to spend to get it running? All info would help and if there is a swap guide for it that work too.

 

Start by getting a cable clutch to hydro clutch conversion kit, or by getting a hydro B-series tranny - B16, GSR or Type R.

Do a search for the rest of the parts man.

 

You'll only be able to use the motor. Unless you use a cable to hydro conversion you can't use the transmission. I wouldn't even try to run the OBD0 ECU and you can't use the OBD0 distributor unless you run the OBD0 ECU. You can't run the injectors unless you use a resistor box. So at the least you'll need a hydro tranny, OBD1 ECU, OBD1 distributor, OBD1 injectors, wiring up the fan switch, wire up the 4 wire O2 from your VX O2, use an OBD1 B series header, OBD1 mounts (you can't use the CRX mounts), wire up the knock sensor. Not sure you can use the cv axles maybe someone can weigh in on that part. Good luck!

 

I'm go with th cable tranny get the cable conversion kit. Use a chipped p28 ecu. Also get the obd1 izzy. I can use my d15 jectors. I was told I ned driver side braket, and rear T bracket from 94-01 teg.

With the p28 chipped it looks over the knock sensor too
