I just traded my rsx type s muffler for an ep3 muffler to put on my eg. My question is, how do you remove spray paint off the muffler tips? the old owner sprayed them black and I want them back to regular. Do I just use some paint thinner?

Also was thinking of polishing the muffler but wanted to know if the muffler would be more vulnerable to rust? thanks guys, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I just thought I'd put it here since I owned a 92-00 honda civic. hahaahhah

 

i would think aircraft stripper would work. but i know you can wetsand it with 600grit or higher and it will take the paint off eventually and will not harm the coating underneath.
