Icon2 Wiring LM2 to P28/30

Hi,

Is what i'm thinking correct ?

To wire the LM2 to a P28/30 using ectune i need to : Cut D10 (this is what i want to use), Wire one of the LM2 positive output wires to D10 and earth the negative to the chassis, setup the output voltage V afr in logworks, enable LM1 and select D10 as wideband input in ectune (LM1 is what ectune uses for the LM2) and check the voltage V afr are the same as logworks and correct if needed.

Is this right ? Please let me know if i'v missed anything.

Also how well does the lm2 or lm1 work when running them to D14 or C16 (obd0) ( 02 sensor ) and using the narrowband voltage ?

Thank you for your time
Richard

Your installation and software info is correct.

Also if you want to run your LM2 in closed loop in eCtun open parameters/Fuel & Ignition Settings/Closedloop and check wideband as closedloop input. It's been working great for me so far.

If you are going to use D10 don't forget to replace both R136 & R138 with 1M Ohm resistors in the ECU.

Thank you Chris,

I'v just had another brain itch that needs itching....

I'm currently running the LM2 directly off the battery. i.e. using the battery negative and positive as the power source (fused). Is this the best way to supply power and a good ground ?

I'v just been told by someone that i shouldn't use the battery as a ground for some reason. Is this true ? If so where is the best place to ground to ?

Did my post get DELETED??? WTF

If you are using the Wideband to log through the ECU, technically they should be grounded at the same point (Thermostat housing ground) but you can just tap into the Ground on the ECU to ground your wideband along with switched power to power it as well.

This is the main reason I came up with the OBD1 Tuner Harness back in the day...
