Icon2 Cargo Area Light trouble

Had to fix a few things around the house, etc. this weekend, and among other things a burnt-out highbeam, and cargo area/trunk light. The highbeam's all good, but the cargo light still doesn't work after a new bulb. Pretty sure I got the right kind - DE3021 - but with ignition on or off, lights on or off, this thing will still not work. Haven't checked fuses yet, but can't imagine it being a fuse since everything else works fine. Not a huge deal, but I can't stand when stuff is just "broken".

Searched around a bit but didn't find anything on this, ideas are welcome! Thanks!

Ok so you gota a new bulb and its not working. A bulb needs electricity to work so common sense would tell you...

The five minutes it took you to post this, if you used a little common sense yyou would've had it fixed

Process of elimination would say it's a fuse.

If it was a fuse other things wouldn't be working I believe there are a few things in that circuit.

You own a test light op?

My trunk light doesn't work either. There is a constant +12 going to it and the negative is what is switched. I hard wired a ground but then the cluster says the hatch is open, WTF.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll spend a little more time on it this weekend. I also read that it can be related to the trunk latch, or the switch contacts on the light unit itself. We'll see...

Find the user FCM, he is like a human wiring diagram.
