I have a 94 hatch with an h22a in it I am running a mizu radiator. I got the swap started last night. I filled the radiator and started it let it run for a little bit then topped the system off. Started the car again and turned the heater on full blast then opened the bleeder valve. I let it run until my temp gauge got halfway up on my cluster. This was about 15 minutes. No fan kicked on and the top of the radiator was warm and the bottom was ice cold. Its only a halfsize radiator. I still continue to open the bleeder valve and get air out of it, but my block gets a lot hotter than I would like it to. Meaning I touch it and I cant keep my hand on it for more than 2 or 3 seconds. I have about a gallon and a half of coolant in it. how can I tell if there is coolant in my block and if it is actually flowing?

Thermostat probably stuck close?

You can pop the radiator cap off when its cold, start it up, and you should sorta see the coolant flowing.

 

I'd check the thermostat as well, i have always had a hard time with my H22 setup bleeding coolany system and getting all the air out....
