Default 90 civic DX firing order?

Well my friend just bought a Civic the people he got it from messed it up.... It only Starts n runs when the firing order is backwards.....

Like instead of it being 1234 its 4321 if u get what i mean.... If you put it in write firing order it doesnt even start...... but if u mix it up it runs...

I could hear it was misfiring when it was idling....

Well on his if u set it like that it will not start..

Its gonna b hard to explain... but ill try

OK now the actual dizzy its self 1 and 4 have to switch and 2 and 3 have to switch or it WILL NOT start at all....

If its in the right firing order it will just crank and crank and crank untill batt dies......

Have you checked mechanical timing of the crank and cam?

pull plug n wire to #1 crank untill it is at the top. check dizzy and it should fire up if that is correct.

timing could be out 180 but i doubt it.

i think the person before me was correct.

1342 for all Hondas

1 being the timing side and 4 being the distributor side

when looking at the motor under the hood it is [-(1)-(3)-(4)-(2)-]

timing marks are ^ with the top and the bottom two point towards the center mark of the top one

there is a screw inside the cover of dizzy. it sometimes rattles loose cause it not to start.
