New 94'' accord owner need help with repairs!!!!! please! og here!!
Whats up Accord guys! i need your help, i got a 94'' accord for my baby mamma and it needs some work!, im no noob and i own a 98'' ITR and built the entire thing from scratch but this accord is killing me! it has no vss! the car doesnt blow hot air! and i need some oem accord rims. It didnt pass smog either. I need help locating why the blower doesnt blow hot air! where should i look. check engine light comes on but im pretty sure its cause it has no vss, how do i check that? also the intake arm is torn below cause the oem intake has two pieces and the lower port is torn from the upper arm, and if any one has oem accord rims with good tires in s.d lmk asap thanks.
I'd get a VSS if there's none. As for not blowing hot air? I'd check the heater control valve located by the firewall if you follow the heater hose located underneath the distributor from the head back and it's a small black plastic control valve. Usually on these Accord, those heater valve stuck close which allows no coolant to flow to the heater core for heat.
Since your's a '94 Accord, there's a blue two pin connector under the passenger side dash, unplug it and jump the two pin connector with a paper clip or some sort with the key to the "ON" position. It'll give you so many long and short flashes. Example, it gave you two long flashes and two short flashes, thats code 22. Hope this helps.

Can't help you with emissions unless you have test results. Emissions differ in every state, as do limits. Some states use parts per million as a measurement. My state (az) uses grams per mile.

As for the heater not blowing in hot air, you could have a blockage. This video will explain your situation.

As for smog testing start by finding out what codes there are in your check engine light this will tell you if it's emissions related or VSS related.

So the ODO isn;t working? or you're saying the actual VSS sensor on the tranny IIRC is not there?, sorry your statement isn't clear.
No the odom isnt working, the actual vss aint there lol that explained it once i took a look when i removed the air box. I wonder why its missing! this car was real janky! no radio, big 17'' pos tsc rims with the low profile tires, this is why i need the oem rims, all the pot holes around s.d after the rains left one of the rims bent! now heres a ugly unsafe donut on! she drives the baby so i get nervouse with the rims on there.

I would try flushing the heater core instead of ripping apart the dash.
I suspect my accord has partial blockage of the heater core because my prior accord the heat was toasty this accord the heat is lukewarm. When winter passes I'm going to this procedure.
BTW, if you do flush the system a garden hose is acceptable because you're simply applying pressure to force out any gunk.
As for the VSS since it isn't there install one.

Im not sure what hose to flush, should i drain the radiator and just flush the upper radiator hose? or the lower hose and drain the upper hose in a bucket..
Same procedure, drain your coolant locate heater core hoses by using your lower radiator hose, you'll notice 2 smaller hoses they will go into the firewall in the vicinity of the throttle body (beneath it).
Disconnect both hoses, one will be inlet and outlet hoses and start the flushing procedure.

HOLD ON!
Before you go flushing and all that with the heater check the simple things first, broken temp ****. It can stay on the panel and turn fine but can have cracks in it that would change it over to hot. broken ***** are way more common that clogged heater cores.
also the cable can be out of adjustment too like one of the first poster implied with checking the hot water valve if the valve is open and no heat then you got a problem.
changing coolant will not help heater proformance and I wouldn't recomend "flushing" unless it was absolutely needed.

also the egnition key hole is jamed or something cause its hard to get the key out sometimes, you have to push in and turn to release but it wont sometimes and it gets fustrating, do i need a new ignition and will that be a pricey fix and hard to install?
the water valve is near the firewall below the intake manifold. follow the heater hoses.
Anyway, remove heater **** and see if it's broken. I doubt that it is since you said it turns fine but check anyway.
This is your heater valve
Are you sure you built a car from scratch? from what I am reading in your posts you are asking questions to pretty basic procedures.
lol you bet your a$$! i had this gsr pretty much stripped and bare at one time! I dont just go and tear things up, i like to know the proper way to disassemble the part or project thats all.

thanks for the pic!
The 1994 Accord produced before August had a problem with the heater cable noob coming undone due to a poorly designed clip. Depending on the actual noob production month this could be your problem. You should observe the heater valve movement noob to confirm it moves when you adjust the noob temperature control ****.
The VSS can be checked by confirming an output signal noob from the VSS feedback wire with the front wheels rotating, key on. This can be tricky if you don't have the proper diagnostic tools noob or an electrical schematic detailing the proper wire. Or, you can put one where that hole is in the transmission.
The failure of the smog check could be caused by too many things to guess. As stated, a printout of the noob actual readings will be necessary to start directing your efforts.
And, best wishes to your baby momma.

Actually that is not true. I can vouche for a damaged heater control **** mechanism being broken. I would turn it and it felt fine like it was suppose to turn but wouldnt change the temp. When we took it apart the mechanism inside was broken.
