help no power to fuel pump

Default help no power to fuel pump

my car shut off while driving, and would not restart.it cranks but the fuel pump does not prime when clicking the key.i have tryed a new main relay n diff ecu, still no fuel pump.i took off the fuel tank acess cover n tested the plug going to the pump which was not getting any voltage.so jus trying to figure what would cause the plug that goes to the pump not get any power.

Did the main relay you swaped in good?

The main relay is grounded thru the ECU to the point of the bundle of wires screwed to the thermostat housing. Clean the connection of these wires to the thermostat housing. Bet this fixes it.

95 Civic, right? Check hood fuse 31 and dash fuse 24.

these bundle of wires are under the hood?

yeah. under the hood. the thermostat is on the engine block where the radiator hose goes in to the engine

there was probably nothing wrong with the old main relay. if you just cleaned the ground point on the thermostat housing it would have worked. new or old relays will not work if you don't clean the ground connection on the thermostat housing.
