Icon2 ECU compatibility

was trying to find a ECU for my auto to manual swap, found one but I think the guy has no clue(like I do) if this ECU will go into my 97 EX D16Y8 manual tranny, can someone please let me know if this will fit:

code on the ECU is:
57820-P2E-A01
900-141053
EE

Default Re: ECU compatibility

What you posted above
P2E = d16y7 motors 96-00 civic A>50 is manual : above a<50 is auto
p2p ao1 = d16y8 motors 96-00 civic

LOOK for a [ p2p ao1 >> p2p << ao2 d16y8 motor ]

if you get that ECU you wont run vtec and possibly slower you might be able to convert your current ecu to manual it works for OBD1 ecus not sure for obd2. if not get a obd2a - obd1 jumper harness with a chipped ecu for a d16y8 will cost you about $150-200

I have a 1990 civic hatchback. I have a d15b1 motor in it right now planning on switching to a d16y8 was wondering what all I would need as far as if I needed a new wiring harness of if the old one would fit the new engine. Also do I need a new ecu cv axle etc...
Might be a stupid question but I’m new to this just trying to figure everything out

Hey! Recently picked up a P2E-A02 out of a 97 civic coupe. It had a Y7 in it, same as my 98 sedan. Will the A02 work in my 98?

thanks
