Default Stroker Kits

First off, I have searched HT for all my questions, and in turn have found mixed emotions on diffrent brand stroker kits. Problems like cranks breaking. also i am not gonna hijack someone else thread with questions, so i made my own. I am planning to run a storker kit in my b18c1 this year so I can compete. Seeing some setups using the LS crank (89mm), just dosent seem to have the right number for what I am looking for. now I know of 3 major brands of kits out for the b18. Crower, eagle, Jun. although i havent heard much out of the Jun kits(WAY OVER PRICED), i have heard many about the crower and eagle.. i have seen pictures of both cranks breaking after only a few passes. I know that it could be just who assembled the engine and tuned, but more insite is awesome. The block will be sleeved for 85mm (darton) running 12.0-13.0 cr. im lookin to get close to 240-260. this is not me asking "hey what hp you think ill get SO PLEASE DONT FLAME." What reliable storker assembly are you guys running? and when would a deck plate have to come into effect? if i can get away with out deck plating that would be awesome. im a person that dosent half a$$ things so the right way is the right way for me even if i have to wait to save the money for it.

I remember a while back someone mentioning that they had purchased an Eagle crank and had to do a few hundred dollars worth of work to ensure longevity. It was out of balance, the journals were not perfect, other cleanup items.
I think with either choice you would have to do the same. I wouldn't think either brand is just plug-n-play, some work would be needed. Find a good shop that as experience with these cranks and Honda engines.

Curious, what size are you planning 92mm, 95mm, 97mm, 98mm?

Hey that's my build. If you need any help I'll be more than happy to help. The car has ran a best off 11.8 @ 117-118 MPH. The trap is there for mid to low 11 pass. By the way the motor is for sale.

If you go with an aftermarket stroker crank, you may have to notch the block for clearance. FYI if you decide on an aftermarket crankshaft...

I am in progress of doing the same thing. Im gonne run the ls crank and rods in my b18c simply because there is no machine work involved just block off the oil squirters.
