97 acura el - coolant flow question
Just wondering how the coolant flows in my 97 acura el(97 civic si)? It seems to take a very long time for my t-stat to open. I have replaced so far the waterpump, oem t-stat, and flushed the heater core twice.
I can bleed out the system in the shop and have good heat. The next day I start it and it take along time for the heat to start coming. I take it for a good 25 min drive to work and I stop at light sitting, it goes green and I take off and I can here water bubbles moving behind the dash. So I park at work let it idle and just touch the gas while in neutral and I can get the bubble noise just sitting there.
Get out, pop the hood and the lower rad hose is still cold after 25min of driving. Pop the rad cap and rev the engine hold the lower hose. I can feel air bubbles moving through the hose and see them escaping the rad. While still hold the throttle cable I bleed it out and the fan comes on and I have good heat. What is the problem here?? Shitty brand new oem cap or waterpump not moving fast enough to properly bleed through the little hole in the t-stat??

Oh what I wanted is a diagram of how the coolant flows in the system. I either have a waterpump not pushing it fast enough or a t-stat taking way to long to open.
Maybe you need a new rad.
