ok guys i have an em1 bought it like about a month ago now. previous owner told me he had just put a new clutch (exedy stage4) lightened flywheel & a 1000lb pressure plate. i never had experience with manual so yeah i stalled pretty hard a few times once to the point that the center motor mount bolt got loose lol now im better & dnt stall much but now im hearing this scraping noise when im on 3rd gear. also a little squicky noise too. is it my clutch or my tranny? i have an lsd tranny. please let me know if its either or thanks!

 

Sounds like a transmission problem if the noise goes away when the clutch pedal is pushed.

i have read that motor mounts can be the issue too? is that right??

Most likely, though it also could be the countershaft bearing.

 

hmmm i see if i would to go get it fixed how much would it come out to be? estimate lol

 

Not sure. If you can't crack the transmission, you may want to shop for a replacement and then swap it yourself.

 

forgot to mention i have a bad axel driver side. would that have any input on the problem?
