Was in limp mode but messed with it by reseting the car & good to go but it turns off every few mins now. Tried my buddy's ecu and still no good. So can't be my ecu and thats what i thought at 1st.

Are you throwing any other codes now besides a solid red light? Are all your grounds connected good?

Well thats kinda what i wanna know too. How many grounds are besides the valve cover 1, the trans 1 where the cable for the clutch goes, and what others? no check engine light either.Thats the trippy part.

Today i pushed in the positive terminal wires in more cause they were hanging kinda out and to see if that would get my car to stay on cause it will turn on then die after 5 mins. I was stuck at work my hatch wasn't starting thats why i gave this a try and it started. Didn't even turn off the whole way home. plus i made a stop to get my son and it even turned on there with no problem. Don't know if the loose terminals had anything to do with it. What do you think? i would floor it and the car would shut off right after. now i did that the way home and it still stood on. kinda weird.

Loose and corroded connections will cause problems. I haven't been following all of your threads, but I know you are having many issues with your car. If you can pull on a wire and it moved in its connection that is bad. All connections need to be clean and secure. There also is a ground on the thermostat housing. That one is important. Make sure that one is clean and tight.

The thermostat housing huh? I will take a look at it. I don't think i have that 1 or any wire going there. Is that the 1 behind/the other side of the dizzy?

Yes it is behind the dizzy. It will be a ground ring with a few wires I think 4 wires on the ring it must get bolted to the thermostat

Its there and all 4 wires plugged. Damn but i checked my oil and nothing. Last time i checked it too. Could it be that maybe i fried that ****er? Probably lost compression?
It was throwing smoke and also my engine coolant temp gauge is not working. I got it plugged but still don't work. Maybe it will cause problems not working? It was before when it had no worries.
