good distance to keep the ecu from ignition ?

long short im running a new set up wich consist of a sereis 2 aem and a t1 pro 14 kit im haveing a mil spec harness made and want to know how far i should keep the 2 from each other ?

i dont think its so much worrying about mounting the boxes away from each other as it is concentrating on keeping the two harnesses seperate from each other. we ran the ign harness seperate AND perpindicular to the engine harness.

No sense in pushing your luck. Try to keep them at least 12" away from either other and don't run the harnesses near each other either.

depends.. I would definitely not run your ecu trigger inputs and coil outputs anywhere near each other.. Like tony said why chance it..
Although with some ecus I have mounted the cdi with velcro right on top of the ecu and have not had any issues.. One time on a engine dyno I wrapped a spark plug wire around the ecu and made pulls to see what would happen.

You can put them close to each other if you put something as a divider in between them and keep the wiring separate or use good shielded cables for you signal wires.
