Default 98 accord low compresion

i only have 70 psi on cyl no 3 any suggestions on chemicals to pour in cyl to see if ring will break loose if just by chance i have a stuck ring.sea foam?let stand for a day or so?

if ring is truly stuck/broken then the cylinder wall is toast. Are you burning oil? If not then try checking intake and exhaust valves. Bring #3 to TDC compression stroke and pull valve cover. Check rocker arms on #3. They should all have a little play in them. If not then that valve is not fully closed. Could be fixed with valve adjustment.

checked rocker ars had a .005 gap on int and .007 on exh gonna go deeper tmorrow will have head off and oil pan thursday might as well do a bottom end

ok guys need some help here i need a breakdown of the bottom end of this thing 1998 2.3 vtech need illustartions on complete bottom end with some torque specs any help will be greatly appreciated

The haynes manual has all the torque specs. Only 10-15 bucks at autozone. Has pics of crank and all.
Never rebuilt a 2.3L though. Since you had clearance on all your valves then the only other place to lose compression is pistons. Unless the valves seats are totally gummed up and leaking even at TDC. You'll know when you take the head off.

Do a leakdown test. This test is accurate if you know what you're doing.

Took head off checked ring gap close to being too wide.oil rings stuck.valves have blowby.as in put fluid in exhaust ports and leaked through valves are not seating took to machine shop

ok, so valves were gummed up. valve jobs usually arent too expensive. are cylinder walls shot?

nope still has x markes from factory hone a little glazed though.gonna hit it with a hone to rough up a little
