Default valve help

hey everyone i just wanted to make something clear. I've been doing a lot of searching and reading for adjusting valves. So when i put # 1 cylinder at TDC, do i adjust both the intake/exhaust valve on #1??

Also my civic (D16Y8) is burning oil and i check the compression and i got about 160 to170. So It usually burns a faster when im driving on the high way. would it be the valve guides??

yes you should be adjusting on #1 cylinder. not sure about the burning oil though

that will only clear up your valve chattering but the oil burning is either piston rings or valve seat seals. This will not help the oil burning.

yeah i would say piston rings could be bad in one of the cylinders or all

i know it wont help stop burning the oil, but i just wanted to see if the seals were bad since the compression was good
