Ok in my 92 coupe EX i have been having problems with my heat/defrost. Basically the defrost does not defrost. But it comes out of that middle big defrost vent and then all other vents on the front of the dash, but im assuming it should also come out along the bottom of windshield? Also while im driving the heat blows nice and hot but as soon as i stop it gets cold? This is getting annoying driving with the window down in 15 degree weather to defrost my window so if anyone as a suggestion please throw it my way. Also ill add that the buttons on the dash to control settings like defrost, feet etc all do the same thing nothing changed when you hit them but they do light up. I dunno if the problem is related.

 

I just had the exact same problem with my heat. My thermostat was stuck open, and thus, needed to be replaced. A new one is only $15 or so.

 

im having the same problem with my buttons, my heat only works on the 4th setting. Im thinking its just the switch that needs to be replaced.

 

Ok does anyone know about this defrost?

 

Bump any other idea's

 

Check the (1) coolant level in the radiator (then bleed the cooling system) and (2) the mode control motor.
