Default Lateral gas ported pistons?

Hi.
What do you think about lateral gas ported pistons on a forced induction application? Is there any gain on FI application? What would be the rings life compared to non ported? Are lateral gas ports suitable for DD?
Thanks!

allows pressure going down the side of the piston to go behind the top ring to actually push the ring harder against the wall for better ring seal. Its worth it no matter what the use of the pistons. if used with all motor they have a gasport that comes from top of the piston to the ring

What about rings wear?
Can i add gas ports after the pistons have been manufactured?

You will get a little premature ring ware but the benefits of the gas ports will outweigh that.
If it is an ARIAS Piston Arias will add gas ports for a small fee. Give them a call 310-532-9737
