Ok I have a 96 accord the (always on) cel is on I use 93 gas. Ok I notice this porblem after the cel. Lastweek I put 100 octain in the gas thank I put 3gal on top of the 93 which I was lil bit below the full mark. I drove the gas out to half tank put back 100 octaine fill it up to full so is was still mix i was at 98 octain. From that next day car couldn't start I change the spark plug car won't start so I had to pump the gas and it start. I drove out the gas to E. You should retrieve the CEL code(s) that are stored on your ECU. It/they could tell you exactly what is wrong. Or at least steer you in the right direction.

If you are mechanically inclined you could do the paper clip trick to retrieve the CEL codes yourself. Here is a link for more info on Self diagnostics https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ght=diagnostic

Tell me it's an H22 to be running 93 OCT?

I highly suggest not running Premium on a stock F22 unless it's High Compression. You'll really mess up your motor by doing that. It won't give you hp in anyway. 87 will detonate before 93 OCT; thats all it does is an anti-knock.

87 will do just perfectly fine with a 8.8:1 CR unless you're 10:1 and up like an H22.

The OP is taking a hiatus from this thread, in order to try and find a reason for running premium....
