accord f22b questions
curious i have intake/header/no cat full exhaust and a chipped ecu runs great just curious why after about 6100 rpm the motor feels like it just has no more power ?
with my civic or integra no matter what engine with chipped ecu it still pulls no matter what rpm but this f22 does not ? just curious why?

Well your mods suggest the engine itself is basically stock, and the stock engines start winding down around that point. They don't need to rev as high as some Civics or Integras. If you are looking for more power up there, you should look at an aftermarket cam and supporting mods.
Bolt-ons aren't enough to change anything. And just because the chipped ECU might be set for it to rev higher, that doesn't mean it needs to.

not sure i would want to rev an f22 higher than that, i have a cam and it makes power up to 6000rpms but the f22b was not designed for that kind of high rpm operation plus you run the risk of oil starvation.
I feel like a broken record saying this so many times, but check out Bisimoto's F-series builds (or any other high-end F-series builds) if you want to learn more.
Yeah but it takes a lot of work to get them to perform in the upper RPM ranges like Bisimoto's. The Bisi F series builds are far from cheap. However a stage 2 cam with a valve train upgrade will get you up into the 7-8k range. Then it's he bottom end that you have to start to watch out for and do some work on from there.
Bisimoto does make some good stuff but the average "joe" doesnt have the money to get a F22 to perform at that level.....well maybe Ghost does.....sweet build by the way....how's it coming along?
I'm really not the average Honda DIY Joe though. I save up my pennies to spend on my car. I quit smoking and I have made other (materialistic) sacrifices in order to afford to do my build right the first time. Most seem to want it cheap and fast........ those builds don't last long enough, and when you weigh the cost of the wasted materials. They really aren't that cheap ether.
The build is coming along slowly but surely. Thanks for asking
I am like the average Joe, in that I don't have $10K to throw at my car all at once. It takes time to do the work myself and also to save up to get the work I can't do myself done right.
