i cant remember which way the crankshaft seal goes in? which way does the crankshaft seal goes in (the seal that is on the oil pump)? does the side with the part number face outward (towards the crankshaft pullys) and the metal ring goes in (towards the tranny), or the metal ring faces outward and the side with the part numbers goes in?

 

the side with the spring faces the trans.

 

Metal/spring in, numbers facing out. It's always like that.
