best place to get harness rewebbed?
I was able to pick up an old used 6pt camlock for free. None of the belts are current. Do I need to get them rewebbed or will I be ok with old belts as long as I am not racing. I do already have a 5pt, but need another harness for my instructor and one that will keep him/her safe. Any recomendations welcome.
Any one of the harness companies offers a re-webbing program..I'm sure one of the supporting vendors that posts on this page can give you more info...If not racerwholesale.com used to offer it... maybe as racerpartswholesale.com
I think it was approx 60% of the replacment cost of the belts if bought new...Last time I had it done, was $60 for a 5 point...
Most schools require matching restraints with the driver ALWAYS having the older harness....You'd want the same thing if you were trusting what could be your life in someone elses car...

I have had mine done here.

I had a crotch belt resewed at a parachute harness manufacturer! For HPDE kinds of work, an out-of-date harness should be OK, unless it is REALLY old, has been in the weather, or is frayed/unstitched.
