It depends on what you like, but all it takes N/A to win the class is around 190whp and a good driver. A JDM D15B can do that all day with a high comp build with some .025 over pms pistons.

completly stock internals.
I wouldnt really want to do a lot of work if i was going to boost it anyways.
would a stock d15b be alright for racing like that?

So for around a d15 class i should make 190? thats more money then i wanted to spend. thats why i kinda just wanted a cheap/solid turbo setup

Starting in march, I will be running a stock D16Z6 with a T25, 4-5psi. Shooting for about 150hp. With a car that is under 2000lbs, it shoudl be pretty fun. I had a stock D15B2 in the car before and it was fun, but slow. On the longest straight, we topped out at about 100 and it didn't pull hard out of the corners, so momentum was key to going fast. I would have boosted the B2, but it was only making 120psi on all cylinders after the first race, so I scrapped that idea.

Traction is going to depend a lot on your tires and how you drive.

Do you have class restrictions for what you are doing with it?

Well, you wouldn't need to make 190 to have a lot of fun. The national winner of the Street Modified FWD (SMF) class usually has around 190-200hp, but to have some fun and maybe win your region about 150 should do if you can drive. A jdm d15b can do that on stock internals with just bolt ons and a tune.

You'll also need to spend a decent amount on tires. Hoosier road racing slicks are the way to go unless you're shooting for a class that doesn't allow for them, but SMF does.
