Rex broke down today HELP!

Default Rex broke down today HELP!

My car pretty much just took a dump today.
i hop in it and first of all i put the key in the ignition
turn the key and my cluster wont light up.
but i can hear the beeping from the door being open and
the key in. I go to start it and it starts but dies right away
goes vroooooom and then right away dies.
i dont know if its something to do with my ignition or
where to even START looking need the car for work. only
thing i got. soooooooooooooo please opinions, ideas shoot
em this way porfavor

i would say its the ignition switch. the very same thing happen to my crx. it is the switch that has like 4 pin connector on the fuse box and leads to the key . it is easily removed/replaced. search it.

x2. ignition if it starts then you release the key and poof. dies. plus no dash lights when the key is turned.

Not the lock cylinder,it is the switch that screws on to the bottom of the lock cylinder.
Remove the plastic on the steering column and you will see the part,it is held on by 2 screws.
