2007 CRV brake performance after pad change
I had the pads changed. I now have to press down harder on the brakes to get the car to stop. Could changing the pads introduce air into the break lines? As part of this brake job the dealer recommended that I change the brake fluid, but I only authorized them to change the pads and resurface the rotor. The brake fluid was very low when I brought the car in and they topped it off, but they did not bleed the brakes. When I brought the car in the brakes worked fine, but I did need new pads. Now I have new pads but the brakes don't seem to work as well. Comments are greatly appreciated.
Its most likely a combination of a different pad material and(if you didnt resurface or change the rotors) the pads needing to be broken into the rotors.
