Default fuel pump options

I currently run full-blown dual walbro pumps, I blew pump 2 times, I now heard speculations that walbro pumps are not compatible with E85 I anly run e85,

my eyes are on a aeromotive a1000 pump, and summit 5 gallon fuel cel, will the a1000 pump be enough for 800whp? any concerns issues ?

I am really not interested in the bosch pumps, so thats not in my option.

When I was talking to Tony Palo at T1 he said that when he ran that pump he maxed out around 800hp on race gas. So the pump should get you there if you run gas, but not with e85. He told me I might be lucky to get 700hp.

Get the dual bosch 044 pumps. If you buy the a1000 brand new, you might as well get the dual bosch 044. I know plenty of guys running those and they work with e85 and make over 800hp. Then with the same pumps on race gas you can make over 950hp. Im pretty sure that is what Tony is running on his race car making well over 950hp. Check out his website. t1racedevelopment.com.

I understand your not interested, but they are good pumps. When your power goals go above 800hp, youll already have the pumps for it. Just think about it. Thats what Im doing. I have the a1000 and when Im ready for more than 800 Im going with the bosch pumps. Look, call Tony at T1, he will give you the best information than most on here. He is a good guy, knows a lot and will help you make the best decision.

People will tell you to stay away from the a1000's and aeromotive in general. Your best bet would be talking directly to Kinsler, they sell great stuff and really know their information!!

Aeromotive 2025 or 2035 also dw300 is a new pump like a walbro and is compadable with e85 the bad thing is they come out mid January. They should fit with your dual walbro setup

thanks guys I am looking at all the options, like the sound of the dw300, but hate to be a ginney pig, I may have to drop my dislike for bosch products and run their pumps, I really like the simplicity of the a1000 but not sure.

are there any serious issues why I should not use the Aeromotive a1000? have it all in my summit cart ready to buy. any reliability issues concern, this car is weakend drag car only not street driven so comfort and noise is not a concern its loud enough from the solid mounts, and open DP. 750-800whp on e85 with 1600cc injectors will it support it?

tony maxed his a1000 at 800 on gas.
if you plan on 800 on e85, i dont think it can do it.

Yup, no way it'll do 800whp on e85. Get a Weldon or dual 044's.

look into the fuelab pumps as well. Don't have to mess around with a voltage controller like the aeromotive stuff.

Any one use the new revised 044 or walbro from Jaysracing.com yet? It says the new revised walbro will out flow the old 044 and the new 044 is a monster. These pumps look interesting. Looking for some feedback

A company from the UK has redesigned the 044 with new internals. Bosch does not produce this pump. Its suppose to flow more then the bosch 044 and also have less amp draw.

The same company has also come out with an intank fuel pump that's suppose to outflow the bosch 044. Its the same size as a Walbro and they claim it flows 270lph at 72psi.

We have sent both of these pumps out to be flow tested to verify their claims. We should have results back in a couple of weeks hopefully.
