I think he meant that they are used intank not necessarilly on a honda application.Once again I am just guessing since I havent seen any proof of one being used intank.

Generally speaking, they can be installed 'in tank'. They won't fit in a Honda tank though, EG/DC at least, not two of them.

It should be noted that the HP figures posted in the Real Street test are BRAKE horsepower, not WHEEL horsepower.

Flow data in lbs/hr makes things super simple.

The Aeromotive pump flows 390lbs/hr at 70psi. 4 1000cc injectors flow ~380lbs/hr.

The pump just barely outflows the injectors so as far as anyone should be concerned, if 1000cc injectors are too small for your application, so is a single Aeromotive in tank pump.

That is a very simple way of describing it and points me in the direction of the Bosch.

So the new common fuel system for hondas will be dual aeromotive intanks and 900whp without issues. Nice .No need for sumped tank for most people.

The full blown dual hanger runs for around 300 and dual DW's or Aeromotives will be around 170 each takes the total to 640 for an intank setup.A single 044 with an intank walbro will run 200 for the 044 and 70 bucks for the walbro. That leaves you 370 bucks or so to buy the fittings and lines.Tony what would you recommend?

Correct, dual pumps in parallel will flow significantly more.

Where would you combine the fuel lines after the pumps?

Sorry if I missed it somewhere threw the thread but on a dual 044 pump setup what would be a good gauge wire to run from the battery to the pumps?

Thanks

The two pumps at full flow will draw nearly 40 amps. From that you can search wire size based on wire length.

Go with 8 gauge for each pump, and separate relays.

Yeah, for sure. Might as well put -10 lines on them too while you're at it! LOL

Beat me to it.

(I was going to deliver that a little different though)

Thanks I'll figure out my length and post back because I don't know the math to figure it out. Also I'm running the single big relay from tony1.

You'll be good with 12awg, but I'd recommend 10awg for extra wiggle room. 8awg is good for like 70-80A if I remember right. lol

The one nice thing about larger wire is less voltage drop.

This is using stranded copper wire....

12awg: 12vdc @ 10ft w/ 40A load will drop about 1.3vdc
12awg: 12vdc @ 5ft w/ 40A load will drop about .65vdc
10awg: 12vdc @ 10ft w/ 40A load will drop about .8vdc
10awg: 12vdc @ 5ft w/ 40A load will drop about .44vdc

As you can see it's a pretty linear loss. This is something that you need to think about when running wire.

Hope this helps.

I think its better to run a single 75amp relay from t1 (tyco) because a common problem I had and still haven't figured out yet was burning up one of the pumps, and the other would still continue working at a reduced flow. imagine if this would happen at full boost on a high hp car. so I think one relay failure would kill both pumps at the same time, even though it does not remedy a pump failing.
